Story of PIPALAND
The name "PIPALAND" is filled with whimsy and childlike wonder.
"PIPA" sounds like "pípá," in Chinese, a traditional East Asian string instrument that represents the rich heritage and elegant artistry of Chinese culture. It also sounds like "pípá," in Chinese, a loquat, symbolizing our hope that children will grow up healthy and happy with us, just like a nutritious loquat. Additionally, "PIPA" resembles the onomatopoeic word for the crackling sound of burning wood, symbolizing the passion and energy that children bring to their learning journey.
PIPALAND is founded in 2024 in Winterthur, with the aim of providing a place where children with or without a Chinese-speaking background can learn Chinese and grow happily. We eagerly build a caring and educational environment where children can build a strong foundation in both language and culture.
